…………… I am amazed at the logistical job Eric did to get us to the apiaries. Our driver was superb!! Eric did a great job The apiary in Cienfuegos was the best. The father/son apiary managers were obviously having a great time showing their operation and the whole family made us feel welcome. I would think that it would be possible to include that as a longer visit possibly with lunch on location. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks for all the work you put in on our behalf. DD
……………I also enjoyed this trip immensely! We had never been part of a tour group like this before. Ordinarily we do research and planning before a trip to create a general plan and leave space for enjoying what we "bump into." Being part of a group has limitations--you are herded and constrained. On the other hand this was a wonderful group of people, and our guides enhanced the group greatly. One of the reasons for taking this tour was the hope it would afford us an opportunity to go places and meet people we would not otherwise encounter. In that respect we were not disappointed. Thanks for a memorable trip. We learned a lot and had a nice time doing it. We met fine people and discovered more about what makes the world go round. CD
…………. The trip was great. The apiaries were fanominal. It would be helpful to keep the guides, as the translation was a fulltime job. Diana was the best to help with the detailed bee knowledge. The apiary visits were beautiful. Good to have the beekeeper and head government person at each place.
Food, organization, effort, interest tours, were all superb.
I wanted to visit Cuba forever. The trip was everything I wanted. JF
